She used her love and understanding of systems to work with individuals, non-profits, and SMEs in the bookkeeping/accounting sector for many years.  She developed her leadership skills in multiple volunteer areas and served as a member of an executive leadership team in her previous accounting role.   

  

These experiences have led her to a deep passion for the work she does at LeadUp and for the tools she now facilitates, such as the Working Genius workplace productivity tool and CliftonStrengths. She is skilled at identifying creative solutions to complex scenarios through active listening, collaboration, and collective problem solving.   

  

Josie is a musician, a long-distance runner, and thrives in the outdoors.  She is the mom of three, a newly identified dog person, and enjoys camping, sushi, paddle boarding, and live music.  She ran her fifth half marathon this spring in the mountains of Whistler and celebrated her oldest child graduating from grade eight.  Josie is known to call every day beautiful no matter the weather, and loves strategic board games, cooking, and thunderstorms.   

 

Josie’s determination, optimism, and motivation equate to a unique skill set that combines with her experience in finance, leadership, and team development to bring value in performance management and career management.
